Born in Baltimore City, MD on September 15th. Jo moved to the Eastern Shore with her Grandmother. She has 2 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

Jo is married to Rick, who sings male lead in Homeland.

Jo and Rick have three children, Laura, Justin and Brittni (formerly in Homeland).

Raised Pentecostal and with a family that loves a wide variety of music, Jo was brought up with an appreciation of all types of music and a strong love for the Lord.
